Afton Allaire is determined to make the most of his final season in an Andale uniform.
The senior enters the 2026 campaign motivated by one last opportunity to compete alongside teammates he has grown up with while helping the Indians pursue another state championship. For Allaire, the memories he’ll make this fall are just as important as the wins.
“I’m most excited to play with my buddies one last season and play in the Andale uniform,” Allaire said.
Allaire has spent the offseason preparing for what he hopes will be his best year yet. He has committed himself to daily workouts while traveling to college camps to continue developing his skills against top competition.
“I have been working out every day and going to college camps to get workouts in,” he said.
One area of emphasis has been improving his speed. Allaire knows becoming more explosive can make him an even bigger threat on the field, so he has incorporated sprint work and plyometric training into his routine.
“The biggest thing I need to improve on is my speed,” Allaire said. “I have been doing a lot of sprints and box jumps to work on speed and explosiveness.”
The hard work comes after a productive junior season in which Allaire rushed for 800 yards and two touchdowns while adding 250 receiving yards and another touchdown through the air. He also showcased his physicality in the run game, recording 51 pancake blocks.
Now, Allaire has set ambitious goals for his senior campaign. Individually, he hopes to earn first-team all-league and first-team all-state honors. More importantly, he wants to help Andale add another championship trophy to its storied football tradition.
“My individual goals are to get selected first-team all-league and first-team all-state,” Allaire said. “Our team goal is to win state.”
