Abilene 76, Wamego 32

Andover 77, Salina South 25 — Josh Kim made three three-pointers and scored a game-high 23 points. Paul Evans had four threes and finished with 14, and Walker McClellan scored 11. Jace Humphrey led Salina South with 11.

Beloit St. John’s-Tipton 59, Lincoln 43

Bishop Carroll 64, Dodge City 40 — Bishop Carroll hit 25 of 45 (54.5%) from the field and was led by Brody Kreutzer, who scored a game-high 20 points, and had three three-pointers and five rebounds. Nathan Goertz scored 16, Ian Muth had 13 points with six rebounds, and Luke Littlejohn had seven rebounds. Dodge City’s Ty Sheck made four three-pointers and had 12 points, four assists.

Derby 67, Junction City 57 — As part of a 9-2 run, Junction City took a 53-51 lead with 3:31 to go. But the Bluejays were called for a technical foul on the go-ahead basket. That started a three-minute scoreless period for Junction City as Derby went on a 12-0 run to seal the win. Brayden Smith hit 6 of 6 free throws in that span, and Avant Riley scored twice, including off a Smith steal. Smith finished with 16 points, hitting 12 of 13 from the line, and had five assists, four steals. Riley had 15 points, as did Jack Ulwelling, who had five rebounds, as well. Junction City’s Larkin Turner had 16 points and nine rebounds, and Jackson Austin had 11 points.

Great Bend 54, Salina Central 49

Haven 81, Winfield 47 — Nash Wray hit 7 of 8 from inside the arc, hitting 9 of 13 overall from the field for a game-high 25 points for Haven. Brogan Wray scored 10, Nash Wray had four steals, and Detrick Nisly had four assists. Christian Moree scored 18 points, and Evan Hutto and Carter Hoyt each had 12 for Winfield. Hoyt was 4 of 7 from three.

Herington 45, Goessel 43

Hesston 58, Hillsboro 40 — Drew Bartell scored 15 points to lead Hesston.

KC Piper 56, Wichita Heights 54 — KC Piper is still unbeaten after handing Heights its first loss. Heights rallied from down 47-42 after three but went on a 12-1 run over the next six minutes for the 54-48 lead with 1:46 to go. But Piper scored the game’s last eight points in the final 1:29, including Maddix Davis’ game-winning shot at the buzzer. For the game-winning play’s video, go to @joannachadwick on Twitter. Piper’s Alamar Brooks scored 19 points and had nine rebounds, and PJ Moore had 12 points, seven rebounds. Heights was led by Amalachi Wilkins, who had 21 points, 15 rebounds, and Chase Robinson, who had 15 points, 12 rebounds. Jalihn Timmons had 10 points and Aven Mboule five assists.

Kapaun 62, Emporia 40

Maize 64, Garden City 51 — Holding a five-point lead after three quarters, Alec Grill scored eight of his game-high 22 points to lead Maize to outscoring Garden City 16-7 in the final period to get the win. Maize’s Kingston Lerma scored 12. Dallas Rosales scored 15 to lead Garden City and Nolte Martinez had 10.

Maize South 57, Andover Central 49 — It was a game of runs. Andover Central opened with a 12-5 run, then Maize South scored the next 11 points, Andover Central the next eight — and on it went. Trailing 32-31 early in the third quarter, Maize South went on a 10-0 run. While Andover Central cut it to 46-44 with a 12-4 run with 5:33 remaining, it wasn’t enough. Maize South was led by Cy Stucky, who hit 10 of 14 shots — all in the first three quarters — and had 22 points, 12 rebounds. Paxton Scott scored 10 and Jalen Batiste had eight rebounds, eight assists. Andover Central’s Jayden Brown and Brody DeGarmo each scored 10 points, and Brandt Stupka and Ethan Balke each had nine. Brown had six assists, DeGarmo five assists, and Jace Jefferson had six rebounds.

Manhattan CHIEF 58, Arkansas City 45

McPherson 66, SM East 64 OT — Jett Pyle threw an alley-oop to Gabe Pyle for the game-winning basket in overtime. Gabe Pyle scored a game-high 23 points, Jett Pyle had 15 points, four assists, and Cade Strathman 12 points, six rebounds. Bishop Brown added six rebounds, and Ian Razak had nine rebounds.

Moundridge 46, Holcomb 45 OT — Moundridge’s Bear Moddlemog hit three threes, including one in overtime as he scored five of his 11 points in the extra period. Moddlemog, Henry Hecox and Heath Churchill each scored 11. Holcomb’s Hardy had 11 points, Johnson 10.

Mulvane 56, Belle Plaine 35 — Manny Myers led Mulvane with 15 points, Jack Entwisle had 14 and Canon Lazier 11.

Remington 49, Eureka 33 — Kole Klaassen led Remington with 12, Elliott Hochstelter 11, and Peyton Ryan 10.

SE-Saline 48, Smoky Valley 32

Topeka Hayden 74, Augusta 34 — Kuta scored 15 as 10 players scored for Hayden.

Trinity Academy 45, El Dorado 41 — Kolton Shaffer led Trinity with 15 points. El Dorado was led by Sam Greene’s 13 points, Zac Jacobs’ 12 and Peyton Wight’s 10.

Wichita Collegiate 59, Goddard 43

Wichita East 61, Hutchinson 58 — East’s Ismael Berry hit 6 of 12 three-pointers and had 24 points and four steals. Luke Henderson scored 15 and Jaylen Phillips-Grey had 10 points, even rebounds. Oliver Selmon had six rebounds, and Henderson five assists. Hutchinson’s Lamar Govain scored 15, Terrell King 14 points, four assists, and Levi Kepler had 11 rebounds.

Wichita South 65, Buhler 44

Wichita Northwest 74, Newton 45 — Wichita Northwest’s DJ Brown scored 25 points — all in the first three quarters — River Peters scored 14 and Eli Benning 13. Newton was led by Cole Dillon, who had 13, and Cam Schmidt with 10.

Andover 51, Wamego 35 — Kendall Mayer scored 18 for Wamego.

Hays 74, Wellington 72 OT– Hays remains unbeaten after handing Wellington its first loss. Hays, which trailed by 11 at the half, was led by Jenna Schmeidler’s and Molly Martin’s 19 and Katie Linenberger’s 15. Wellington’s Val Norwood had a game-high 24 points, Dru Zeka scored 12, Britt Zeka 11 and Cruz Cornejo 10.

Hesston 40, RIley County 30 — Callie Yoder scored 14 to lead Hesston.

Marion 38, Goessel 35 — Aimee Funk had seven rebounds for Goessel.

Moundridge 42, Hillsboro 33

Rose Hill 48, Mulvane 42 — Ella Swearingen scored 10 of her game-high 14 points in the fourth quarter. Ava Markley had 10. Ellis made three three-pointers and had 11 to lead Mulvane. Peschel had 10.
