Boys

Derby 55, Junction City 51 — Derby didn’t take its first lead until 5:03 to go in the game when Avant Riley got a steal and Cayden Titus hit a three to go up 41-39. Junction City answered and led 51-50 with 1:51 to go. But Avant Riley scored to retake the lead for good with 40 seconds to go. And with 6.9 seconds remaining, Brayden Smith hit two free throws to seal the victory. Riley had 14 points and Jack Ulwelling had 12 points, hitting three threes, along with six rebounds. It was the second time in 11 days that Junction City and Derby played.

Hillsboro 54, Trinity Academy 50

Girls

Derby 80, Junction City 26 — Derby was led by Sarai Graham (15), Aysia Fox (13), Macayla Askew (14), Maya Harris (12), Siaunna Carter (11), Kallie Rickords (10). Xoey Watie had eight steals, Askew and Carter had five apiece. Askew also had six rebounds.
