Andover’s Trevor Formy-Duval has had a love for bowling for almost eight years now, and he doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon. From bowling for fun to taking it to the next level, Formy-Duval has been thankful for his years of playing.

“I bowled for fun from 2016 to 2019, and then started to hook the ball in 2020,” Formy-Duval said. “I have been in multiple youth leagues since then and have not stopped bowling. I play because it’s fun and because I enjoy meeting people that bowl as well. Everyone is very friendly. I have bowled for Andover High School for four years.”

Only one meet into this season and lots of competition to go, Formy-Duval looked back on one of his favorite memories from last season.

“My most memorable moment from the previous season is breaking the school record by bowling a 774 at Emporia,” Formy-Duval said.

At the first meet of the season, Formy-Duval bowled a 628, just one meet down from crossing a few goals off the list.

“My goals for this season are to bowl a 300 and maintain a 215 average,” Formy-Duval said. “I would love to qualify for state as an individual or possibly as a team.”

Formy-Duval is undecided on his plans after high school, but knows he would like to further his education.

“After high school, I plan to go to college but I have not decided where or for what major,” Formy-Duval said.
