Andover’s Wyatt Wilscam – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Jodi Ocadiz Shelter Insurance

Last season, Andover’s Wyatt Wilscam was an honorable mention all-league offensive lineman, but also played on the defensive side of the ball, too.

And that is the area that he really focused on improving throughout his offseason training.

“I want to be a better defensive player,” Wilscam said. :I have been working a lot on technique, speed, and everything defensive line related in this offseason. Some of my personal goals are to be in the best shape I’ve ever been in during football season. I’ve gained 35 pounds since last season but I feel faster and stronger than ever.”

Wilscam used specific training to help him improve every facet of his game.

I have been training with Coach Rashad Daniels doing speed work and building a lot of muscle and getting ready for college camps,” Wilscam said. “It has been super beneficial for my strength and speed.”

The Trojans made significant strides last season and Wilscam is confident they can continue to grow in the 2025 season.

I am most excited to see what the kids that I grew up with can do this year,” Wilscam said “I think we have a lot of potential to do super well at Andover this year and hopefully make a playoff run. It’s been years since Andover has won a playoff game, and for our senior year, I hope we can not only do that but run even later into the postseason.”
