Derby’s Dallas Tritt – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Uplink

As Dallas Tritt steps into his senior season at Derby High School, he brings experience, leadership, and a strong sense of responsibility to a young Panthers squad. A two-year varsity player and center back, Tritt is embracing the challenge of leading a developing team through this competitive soccer season.

“My main goal is to keep our team confident and focused when we’re on the field,” Tritt said. “For a personal goal, I want to keep the goals scored against us as low as possible.”

Tritt and his teammates put in serious work over the summer, participating in camps, conditioning, and fast-paced scrimmages designed to build team bonding and find team members who fit the team just right with both talent and chemistry.

Last season, Tritt played out of position for half of the season, an experience he says helped round out his game. “I saw good development in my play. I especially noticed it in my attacking. I was able to help the team score a few goals through assists.” In addition, Tritt is also proud of the team’s run to the regional final last season, even though it didn’t end the way the Panthers hoped.

As for the future, Tritt is considering playing soccer in college, but he’s also preparing for life off the field. He’s explored becoming a radiologist or going to trade school. Outside of soccer, he enjoys fishing, cooking, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends, all of which keep him grounded as he gears up for one final season in Panther green.
