Wichita Heights 48, Wichita Northwest 45 — After Northwest went on a 10-1 run to end the third quarter for a three-point lead, Heights opened the fourth with an 8-0 run for the 43-38. While Northwest didn’t score for the first six minutes of the period, they got within one with eight seconds to go. Jordan Timmons scored 11 of his game-high 19 points in the final period, and Jalihn Timmons had 12.

Thursday’s boys score
Garden Plain 70, Remington 41 — Cooper Eck hit eight threes and finished with 30 points for Garden Plain. Remington’s Sterling Scribner had 15 points.
