As a senior center midfielder, Logan Mortensen enters his final high school soccer season with clear goals and high expectations. Having earned Honorable Mention in the AVCTL last year, Logan is aiming even higher this season. The AVCTL is widely regarded as one of the most competitive leagues in the state, but Mortensen has set his individual goal this season of being named First Team All-League, a recognition that would cap off years of hard work and dedication to the sport.
Mortensen’s aspirations extend beyond personal accolades. He is determined to help his team finish near the top of the league standings. With a challenging schedule ahead, he’s embracing the opportunity to compete in high-level matches each week. “I am excited about the opportunity to compete in games this season, particularly with the challenging schedule we have ahead of us,” he says. Mortensen added, “I look forward to the tests we’ll face and the chance to grow both individually and as a team.”
Preparation has been key to Mortensen’s development. He remained active during the offseason by participating in his high school’s summer conditioning program and regular training sessions. This commitment has allowed him to maintain peak fitness and continue sharpening his technical skills.
Off the field, Mortensen has a clear vision for his future. He plans to graduate early and begin working for his father’s business, where he hopes to gain hands-on experience and develop valuable career skills.
As the season kicks off, Logan Mortensen stands ready, not only to lead his team on the field, but to take the next big steps in his life with focus and determination.
