Rylee Wurth is making the most of her final high school soccer season at Andover Central High School, where the Jaguars defender is committed to establishing a meaningful legacy. A senior fullback in the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division 2, Wurth enters her last campaign, bringing both experience and motivation to the Jaguars, especially after earning All-League Honorable Mention honors a season ago. “I am looking forward to playing my last year of high school soccer with my team,” Wurth said. “We lost some good seniors, so I am excited to see how our team adjusts and fills those positions.”
That mindset reflects Rylee’s evolving role as a leader. Wurth aims to be a steady presence both on and off the field, guiding a younger roster through the challenges of a competitive schedule. “I hope to be a leader of my team on and off the field. I want to be someone my teammates can count on and talk to about anything,” she said.
The Jaguars are off to a strong start this season with a 4-1 record, building on last year’s success that saw them finish 11-5 overall and second in league play. With unfinished business after a second-round postseason exit, Wurth has her sights set high. “As for team goals, I would like to be league champs as well as regional champs, and hopefully make a run at state,” she said. “Personally, I would like to achieve some postseason awards.”
One key matchup circled on the schedule is the rivalry game against Andover. “They are our in-town rivals, so it’s always a fun game to play,” Wurth noted.
After battling injuries during her junior season, Wurth dedicated her offseason to recovery through strength training and physical therapy, ensuring she would return to the pitch ready to compete.
Rylee is also highly involved in her school culture. She is in Student Council, National Honor Society, SuperSAT, and YoungLife. Following graduation, Wurth plans to attend the University of Kansas and major in exercise science, continuing to build toward a future shaped by her passion for sports.
