Cayden Titus is a senior from Derby High School. This year Titus and the team have a goal to make it to the state tournament. With Titus playing point guard and shooting guard, he hopefully can help lead The Panthers to this team goal. Substate for basketball begins in early March to determine which teams punch their tickets to the state tournament.
Titus, like most seniors, really want to enjoy their last year as a senior and make lots of great memories. “I’m looking forward to being with my team every day.” Titus wants to soak in all the time with friends and teammates on and off the court. On the court, Titus is looking forward to seeing the growth of the team throughout the season.
A stat Titus is proud of is his three-point shooting percentage. “I wasn’t always a person who shot the ball, so it was good to be hitting shots.” Practice for Titus and the team and time to improve during the offseason will hopefully help Titus and teammates improve on skills to make it to the state tournament. Derby has started their season out strong and hopefully this momentum will continue for Titus and The Derby Panthers.
After graduation this spring from Derby High School, Titus would like to continue to play basketball at the collegiate level. Although Titus is currently undecided on a college or a major at this point, he knows basketball will be in his future. “All I do is play basketball”
