After falling to 4-4 by losing to in-town rival Andover in Week 8, defending Class 4A champion Andover Central opened the playoffs with a 35-7 win over Abilene.
Maize’s record remains unblemished with a 76-0 win over Wichita North.
Kapaun beat El Dorado 63-0 and is 8-1 on the season.
Wichita Northwest has won five straight and is 8-1 after beating Campus 57-14.
Derby is 6-3 after a 49-0 win over Topeka. Blade Clark completed 6 of 7 passes for 102 yards and then ran for three touchdowns. Ja’maree Jones ran for four touchdowns.
Hoisington remains unbeaten with its 74-24 win over Halstead.
Mulvane has won eight straight games — beating Circle 47-0 for the second time — after opening the season with a loss to Buhler.
Salina Central improved to 8-1 with a 68-22 win over Topeka West.
Hutchinson’s 34-0 win over Emporia puts the Salthawks at 7-2.
Wellington is 7-2 after beating Winfield 37-20.
Salina South ended Andover’s season with a 24-20 win to improve to 2-7. Andover finishes at 6-3.
Augusta improved its winning streak to three games by beating McPherson 33-20 to improve to 4-5.
Buhler beat Independence 52-22 to improve to 6-3.
Rose Hill is also 6-3 after a 36-13 win over Ulysses.
Cheney (6-3) beat Concordia 36-10.
