Hutchinson’s Kohlbie Craft is excited about the potential of her team and what it can accomplish this season.

“I’m excited about the group of girls we have this year and I think we could have a great season,” Craft said.

During the offseason, Craft stayed active by playing with her club team and facing competition from various colleges, while also focusing on improving her skills.

“In the offseason I played with my club team and played different colleges. I also have been working a lot defensively and offensively on being consistent,” Craft said.

Craft is focused on improving her pitching this season, particularly her ability to control the strike zone and work ahead in the count.

“One area that I want to improve on this year is pitching, being more consistent on hitting my spots and working ahead in the count,” Craft said. “I pitched during my practices and worked on these specific things.”

She has also set goals for both herself and her team for the upcoming season.

“My team goal is to make it to regionals and to go to state,” Craft said. “My individual goal this year is to be consistent offensively and defensively pitching.”

Looking ahead, Craft plans to continue her softball career at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree in business.

“I have signed to play softball at Hutchinson Community College and will major in Business Administration,” Craft said.
