Hutchinson’s Myleigh Mueller has been involved in track since her freshman year and competes in the 4×100-meter relay, 200-meter dash, 4×400-meter relay and high jump.
Over the offseason, Mueller focused on her nutrition as much as her skill development to prepare for this season.
“One thing I would love to improve is different techniques for high jump to see which one works best for me,” Mueller said. “I started high jump in the middle of last season, and I came to love it. It would be nice to be able to improve that area.”
“During the offseason before the first meet, we had a couple of practices to try out different events to see what fits us best and how to improve in that area,” she said. “During those practices, we were improving and learning how to prepare ourselves for an actual meet.”
As a team leader for Hutchinson, Mueller is excited to watch her teammates compete and succeed.
“Some goals I have for this season are for the team to improve from last year and for us all to have a supportive team,” Mueller said.
Mueller has competed in track since seventh grade and is excited for her final season.
“I’m a senior in high school now,” she said. “My motivation is the friendships I made along the way, the people who always come watch my events and the bonds I made from my sport.”
