Kingman’s Braylon Price – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Jon Wollen State Farm

After an injury sidelined senior Braylon Price for his final season, he has had to find other ways to make an impact.

“Braylon is an incredible athlete—hardworking, dedicated and a natural leader,” head coach Garrett Higgins said. “Losing him mid-football season was tough, and his absence is being felt just as strongly by the track team now.”

For a program like Kingman, where culture and consistency matter, losing a presence like Price creates a void both on the scoreboard and in the locker room. His influence helped shape the environment, pushing teammates to compete, improve and stay locked in.

“It’s difficult to see him miss the opportunity to build on last year’s success,” Higgins said. “He truly deserves to be out there.”

Even without competing this season, Price’s impact hasn’t disappeared. The habits he built and the example he set continue to influence the team, serving as a reminder of what it takes to compete at a high level.

“I truly hope that everyone can make it to state this year in at least one event, and if they don’t, then at least finish the season with a winning attitude,” Price said.

The senior’s influence will still be felt even when he is not around. For Price, time away from sports has also given him a chance to think more about his future after high school.

“Next year I will be starting my renewable energy technician career at Cloud County Community College,” Price said.
