Maize High School football team is ready for this season’s competition, and this year with Kicker/Punter Mason Teague, the team should be ready for all competition. This year Maize High School has moved up to 6A and will be competing against some harder competition. Maize’s season opener will be against Goddard in early September, the first test of how Teague and his teammates will compete this season.
Like most seniors, Teague wants to be a good leader for his teammates and lead the team to a great season. Some ways he would like to do this is by building a good connection with all of his teammates. He would also like to help his teammates to be better not only on the football field, but off the field as well.
For himself individually, Teague has set a challenging kicking goal. His goal is to carry out a perfect kicking season by having no missed field goals and no missed extra points during the entire season. Teague has prepared himself for his final year of this high school football season by working on perfecting his craft. Another way he has worked to reach his goals for this season is by keeping himself healthy.
A future goal for Teague is to make it to the next level. Teague would like to continue his football career even after high school graduation this coming spring. In addition to playing football, Teague plays basketball in the winter and golf in the spring for The Eagles.
