As his senior season approaches, Maize’s Parker Meirowsky has spent the offseason preparing both physically and mentally to contribute to his team. Meirowsky was a first-team All-League selection at first base last season for the Eagles.
“In the offseason I have been working on putting on healthy weight and continuing to get reps in the cages,” Meirowsky said.
Leadership is also a priority for Meirowsky as he enters his final high school season.
“I am trying to be a good leader for my senior year,” Meirowsky said. “In the offseason we have built lots of team chemistry.”
On the field, Meirowsky has set personal goals aimed at helping his team succeed.
“Individually some of my goals are to get on base and provide for the team as much as I can,” Meirowsky said.
As a team, he hopes the Eagles can reach the ultimate goal of a championship.
“As a team our goal this year is to win a state title,” Meirowsky said.
Looking ahead, Meirowsky plans to continue his baseball career at the collegiate level.
“My future plans are to play college baseball at the next level,” Meirowsky said.
