Rose Hill will have a lot of new things coming for them this season, but it’s nothing senior Sebastian Bentley can’t handle. Led by a new head coach, Bentley is excited to show the small town what he and the Rockets are made of.
“I am excited to see how our hard work will pay off,” Bentley said. “We have all been working early in the morning four days a week so we can be where we are at. I am also excited for week one so we can prove a lot of people wrong.”
Although it’s his senior year, Bentley knows he’s made his mark on Rose Hill, and will miss the memories when it’s over.
“My favorite moment in sports was sophomore year when I scored my first touchdown against El Dorado,” Bentley said. “It was on the south end of the stadium and after I scored I got lifted up like the titanic by Dawson McNaul. My second favorite memory has to be the team dinners on Thursday night. I will miss those when high school is over.”
Bentley plans to continue his academic career at the next level, and hopes that he’ll get to continue on with the sport he loves.
“For my future plans I am looking to go to Washburn or the University of Kansas for law school,” Bentley said. “I am also hoping to play football at those schools. I have always wanted to play collegiate football at any level.”
