WPS is establishing a Financial Oversight Committee to help guide the district in making sound financial decisions for the future. This committee will serve as a community advisory group, providing recommendations on funding priorities, resource allocation, and long-term financial planning.
Why This Committee Matters
The district faces complex budget challenges and community input is essential in evaluating funding solutions that support students, staff, and school operations. While the committee’s first priority will be identifying short-term and long-term funding solutions for school facilities, its broader mission is to advise district leadership and the Board of Education on financial strategies that promote fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
