Andover’s Bella Bouddhara – Athlete Spotlight

As a senior at Andover High School, Bella Bouddhara values the relationships, lessons and laughter that come with competing alongside her teammates.

Bouddhara, who also participates in girls basketball and National Honor Society, said athletics has helped her develop skills that will extend far beyond high school.

“Sports has taught me how to fight through adversity and how to be a leader.”

That mindset shows in the way she approaches competition and supports the people around her. Bouddhara said teammate Kennadi Noyes has made a particularly strong impression because of the example she sets for the group.

“Kennadi Noyes because she is very uplifting and always trying to do the right thing for the team.”

On the court, Bouddhara prefers a jump serve, using the added force it gives her.

“Jump serve because i have more power”

She also appreciates the different personalities that make the team close. Brooke brings vocal leadership, she said, while Brynn Eilert helps maintain a lighthearted environment.

“I think Brooke is the most vocal and Brynn keeps us laughing.”

Bouddhara said Eilert and Noyes are both strong setters, and she enjoys spending time with teammates beyond practices and games.

“Both Brynn Eilert and Kennadi Noyes are really great”

“We really enjoy eachother both on and off the court!”

The team’s close bond is what Bouddhara values most. Whether the group is facing a demanding opponent or simply sharing a laugh, she said the players genuinely enjoy being together.

“We love hanging out with eachother and always make eachother laugh”

One challenging road trip is the trip to Ark City, where the length of the drive can make it harder to settle in before competition.

“Probably Ark City just because it’s a long drive so it takes a little bit to warm up.”

Away from school and sports, Bouddhara enjoys spending time with friends and going out for food. Her favorite local stop is Peachwave frozen yogurt. In the classroom, history is her favorite subject, and Mrs. Anderson is her favorite teacher.

Bouddhara also draws inspiration from her sister’s work ethic and commitment.

“My sister inspires me because she is so hardworking and smart. She puts her full effort into everything she does”
