Sedgwick senior Logan Stucky has what it takes to lead the Cardinals to a deep postseason push.
Stucky has been the starting point guard for the Cardinals for the last three years.
“I strive to keep calm but have an intensity that also pushes me and my team,” Stucky said. “I feel like encouraging and pushing myself, as well as my teammates, allows us to succeed.”
Despite being a point guard who is score-first often, Stucky knows that scoring won’t always be there.
“Scoring isn’t all there is to the game, but it is the mindset I usually have during a game is to score,” Stucky said. “I try to give my best efforts at all times, and even when I am not scoring, I know giving the best effort I can will shine through.”
The senior has had the unique opportunity to be coached by both parents at the high school level, with her mom being the volleyball coach and her dad being the basketball coach.
“It’s nice to be able to have conversations at home with your starting point guard,” head coach Aaron Stucky said. “She knows my expectations, and she has expectations of her own. It’s easy to sit down on the couch and watch film with her at home if we want to. But I honestly try to keep most of it at school because I know she doesn’t want to or need to think about basketball 24/7.”
