Class 6A boys at Koch Arena
SM South 79, Wichita Heights 54 — While Heights scored the game’s first points, SM South went on to score 31 of the next 38 points. Heights went on an 8-2 run to get within 57-44 after Jordan Timmons’ three-pointer with 7:30 remaining in the game. But SM South scored the game’s next nine points as part of an 18-2 run. SM South’s Drake DeBaun had 19 points, hitting 10 of 11 from the line and finishing with 10 rebounds. Conor Kerrigan had 20 points and was 4 of 6 from three with 13 rebounds. Kaiden Davis had 12 points, Thomas Burns 11 and John Allen 11. Timmons scored a game-high 22 points, hitting 3 of 5 from three and finishing with seven rebounds. Jalihn Timmons had 13 points, Tyson Phillips 15 rebounds.
Olathe North 62, Mill Valley 44 — Olathe North’s Thiik Deng made 11 of 15 shots and had a game-high 25 points along with 17 rebounds, six blocks. Max Galindo had 11 points, four assists, Sam Simmons eight assists. Mill Valley was led by Reece Reidel’s 14 points, six rebounds, six assists. Jack Carpenter and Dylan Everhart each had five rebounds.
Class 6A girls at Koch Arena
Third place: Wichita East 59, Derby 51 — After a bucket by Aysia Fox and two free throws from Alex Dinsmore to get Derby within 47-43 with 4:10 remaining, East responded with a three from Sylvia Selmon and A’Myiah Kates to push the lead back to 10. Selmon hit four threes and finished with 14 points, and Kates hqd 12 points. Jada Davis had nine rebounds, seven assists. Derby was led by Macayla Askew, who scored 16 points and had eight rebounds, Fox, who had 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting with eight rebounds, Siaunna Carter 11 points. Sarai Graham had eight rebounds, Karlie Demel five.
Class 5A boys at Koch Arena
Third place: Topeka Seaman 66, Topeka West 58 — Topeka Seman’s Landon Wiltz scored 23 points, hitting 7 of 9 from three, and had four assists, five rebounds. Griffin Zuniga scored 16 with six rebounds, and Cameron Brian had 11 points, Kaevon Bonner 10 assists. Topeka West’s Prince Lassiter scored 15 and had eight rebounds, Keimani Paul 13 points, Malakyah Duncan six rebounds.
Class 5A girls at Koch Arena
St. James 61, Andover 44 — St. James took a 17-2 lead at the 2:00 mark of the first quarter and led 51-26 with 34 seconds to go in the third. Andover made a run, scoring 10 unanswered to get within 51-37 with 5:40 to go. While St. James didn’t hit a field goal until 3:48 remained in the game, Andover didn’t get closer than that 14-point deficit. St. James had four in double figures — Elle Robinson (16 points, 6 of 7 from the field, 11 rebounds, four assists), Teegan Vietti (12 points), Stella Stacks (11 points, three steals), Emmerson Albright (10 points). Andover’s Grier Hand scored 18 and had seven rebounds, and Bella Bouddhara scored 15, hitting four threes.
Hays 66, Shawnee Heights 41 — Hays opened the game with a 9-0 run and led 16-3 with 2:35 to go in the first period and was up 33-9 with 1:22 to go in the second. Hays’ Jenna Schmeidler was 13 of 19 from the field, 7 of 12 from three, and scored a game-high 33 points and had nine rebounds, six assists. Zoe Winter scored 12. Shawnee Heights’ Samantha Baum scored 21, hitting 9 of 12 from the field, and KK Emmot had 11 points.
Class 4A boys at Hutchinson Sports Arena
Rock Creek 73, Hugoton 53 — Rock Creek’s Ethan Tonsor scored 17 points and had five rebounds, Gavin Rosa had 15 points, made 5 of 9 threes and had six rebounds. Peter Martinie had eight assists, six rebounds and Zebadiaha Brinson had 14 points, hitting three threes. Hugoton was led by Miguel Hernandez (12 points), Adrian Adigun (10 points) and Cameron Rosas (10 points).
Baldwin 65, Atchison 45 — Baldwin’s Leo Schoenberger scored a game-high 29 points, and Cooper Carr had 10 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Atchison’s Trey’Von Gillium had 18.
Class 4A girls at Hutchinson Sports Arena
Third place: Rock Creek 66, Wellington 48 — Rock Creek was led by Kylee Frazee’s 23 points and five rebounds as she hit 12 of 15 from the free-throw line. Aurora Pitzer scored 12 and had 18 rebounds, Hadley Hake 10 points, eight rebounds. Rylie Friess hit three threes. Wellington’s Lyndi Barton and Dru Zeka each scored 12, and Kirstyn Gregory had 11 points. Cruz Cornejo had five assists, Gregory four steals.
Class 3A boys at Hutchinson Sports Arena
Third place: Silver Lake 61, Hesston 45 — Silver Lake’s Dayne Johnson scored a game-high 29 points, hitting 10 of 15 from the field and 3 of 5 from three with six rebounds. Grady Bermann had six rebounds. Hesston’s Ty Unruh scored 22 and had three threes, and Drew Bartell scored 13 with six rebounds.

Osage City 44, Halstead 39 — Osage City’s Kaelyn Boss scored 12 points and had nine rebounds, four steals. Jewelia Kitselman had eight rebounds, Sawyer Serna six. Halstead’s Addisen Wills scored 12, hitting 3 of 5 from three, Jordy Schroder and Bailey Bernal each had 11 points. Piper Schroder had nine rebounds and Bernal seven.
Silver Lake 50, Holcomb 36 — Silver Lake was led by Kailyn Hanni (17 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, four steals), Karys Deiter (13 points, six rebounds), Savannah Wende (11 points), Jaylie Whitehead (four steals, six rebounds). Holcomb’s Deliah Galliart had 14 points, eight rebounds, and Jaylee WIckwar had five rebounds.
Class 2A boys at White Auditorium, Emporia
Sterling 73, St. Marys 52 — Sterling’s Boston Ekart was 13 of 19 from the field, 3 of 4 from three for a game-high 33 points and seven rebounds. Jacob Lewis had 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting with seven rebounds, four assists. St. Marys was led by Benjamin DeVader’s 17 points and five three-pointers. Louis Aecher had six rebounds, Zach Sommars five assists.
Berean Academy 61, Pittsburg Colgan 35 — Berean’s Nolan Sweazy scored 19 points off 9-of-14 shooting and also had eight rebounds. Jace Unruh had 14 points, four assists. Mason Balzer and Wyatt Friesen each had four assists, and Friesen had four steals. colgan’s Brady Bettega had 17 points and made 3 of 4 from three, and Will Schremmer had 10 points.
Class 2A girls at White Auditorium, Emporia
Third place: Eureka 61, Moundridge 49 — Eureka was led by Brenna Rucker, who had six rebounds, hit three threes and scored a game-high 28 points. Ellianna Coulter scored 14 and had five rebounds. Moundridge’s Cammi Unruh scored 13, and Macy Kaminkow had 11 points, nine rebounds, Mackenzie Conkling 11 points, five rebounds.
Class 1A-I boys at United Wireless Arena, Dodge City
Third place: Norwich 62, Central Plains 52 — Norwich had three players in double figures — Drew Kelly scored 19 and had nine rebounds, and Jayden Benge and Lane Hilger each scored 17. Benge had seven assists, four steals, and Kelly had five rebounds. Four players scored in double figures for Central Plains — Brodie Crites (13 points), Rylan Simmons (13 points, six rebounds), Peyton Dody (12 points), Scott Lamatsch (11 points). Camden Stiles had six rebounds.
Class 1A-I girls at United Wireless Arena, Dodge City
Little River 59, Centralia 47 — Little River’s Arika Feldman had a game-high 28 points — she had three threes and was 9 of 9 from the line as well as eight rebounds and three blocks. Centralia’s Josie Haverkamp scored 25 points and had 11 rebounds and Malayna Becker had 10 points, six rebounds.
Wabaunsee 49, Pretty Prairie 38 — Talen Orton led Wabaunsee with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and Grace Keller scored 20 points and had three blocks, five steals. Reese Michaelis had five steals. Pretty Prairie’s Brennan Schrag had 12 points and Kayleigh Vogl had nine rebounds.
Class 1A-II boys at White Auditorium, Emporia
Third place: Lebo 65, Cunningham 64 — Lebo’s Gerek Reber scored 27 points and had four assists, Brock Hadley scored 11 and Coby Fehr 10 points and eight rebounds. Cunningham outrebounded Lebo 39-24 and was led by Cole Hageman’s 11 rebounds and Dylan Halderson’s nine. Halderson had 15 points.
Class 1A-II girls at White Auditorium, Emporia
Hanover 51, Hutchinson Central Christian 31 — Hanover’s Einslee Stallbaumer scored 12 and Nora Heiman 11. Central Christian’s Jessa Losew had six rebounds, four steals.
Linn 55, Bucklin 49 — Linn’s Gretchen Bott scored 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting, and also had seven rebounds, six assists. Josie Oehmke had 13 points and was 4 of 7 from 3, and Baileigh Peters had 10 points, four assists. Geni Turk had seven rebounds, Alivia Meier six. Bucklin’s Tristan Stout scored 17 points and had five steals, and Emmerson Kirk scored 13 with eight rebounds.
