Andover’s Kristina Figy – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Jodi Ocadiz Shelter Insurance

No matter the sport, mistakes are going to happen. But how an athlete responds to those mistakes is crucial.

Andover bowler Kristina Figy is making that her primary focus this season.

“I want to work on not being so hard on myself,” Figy said. “I want to enjoy this season since it’s my last. I want to have fun and I can only do that if I’m happy with whatever my performance is. I want to be ok with not doing so good and have that not affect my other frames and games.”

Figy is looking to build off her 2025 season, where she averaged around 115 and was the Trojans sixth or seventh varsity bowler.

“My goal for this season is to just have fun and enjoy the moment,” Figy said. “I would love to letter again and go back to league again. This season is going to be more fun based and not as competitive as seasons before.”

The hope for Figy is to embrace each moment with her teammates.

“I’m just excited to be a part of the bowling team and hopefully leave the team in a better way than it was when I came. I’m excited to spend time with my teammates and coaches. I’m looking forward to all the amazing memories that will be created with my teammates and I.”
