Earning second team all-league outfielder last year with Buhler, senior Jared Miller will play a vital role in the success of the Crusaders.
“Jared is a fun guy to have around and this will be Jared’s 3rd year playing a key role for us at the Varsity Level. Defensively he plays with reckless abandonment and flies to every baseball hit in the outfield. Offensively, we look for him to hit in the top part of our lineup to put a ton of pressure on the defense with his ability to lay down a bunt, stretch singles into doubles and will always have the green light to steal a base,” head coach John Neill said.
To help better his game for his senior year, Miller worked a lot on increasing his pitching velocity.
“I have been doing various arm care exercises and workouts to improve my arm for this upcoming season,” Miller said.
Individually, Miller is hoping all his time he put in during the offseason will show on the field this season.
As a senior, Miller is a leader and a tone setter for the Crusaders and this year he plans to give it his all.
“I’ve always loved playing baseball since I was a kid so just making my last season worth it,” Miller said.
