Class 6A girls
Wichita East 55, Olathe South 45 at Wichita State — East was led by Quinacy Galbert (14 points) and Jada Davis (13 points, five rebounds) in the win. Olathe South’s Eve Long scored a game-high 30 points, hitting 11 of 20 from the field and finishing with eight rebounds.
BV Northwest 49, Wichita Heights 48 — Heights’ Aniyah Harris hit a three to tie the score at 48-all with 25 seconds remaining, but BV Northwest’s Regan Becker hit 1 of 2 free throws as Heights’ shot at the buzzer was off. It was the first loss for Heights, the No. 1 seed. BV Northwest’s Regan Becker scored a game-high 19 points and had five assists, five rebounds. Milena Domazet had seven rebounds, Molly Numrich six. Heights was led. by Aaliyah Waller (17 points) and Harris, who had 16 points, 12 rebounds. Ashlynn Reed had six rebounds.
Derby 61, Topeka 58 — With 9.7 seconds remaining, Derby’s Alex Dinsmore hit both free throws to put the Panthers up three. Topeka’s three from the right side was just after the buzzer. Derby’s Macayla Askew scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half, and she finished with 10 rebounds, six steals while hitting 3 of 6 from three. Siaunna Carter scored 13, Aysia Fox had 12 and Karlie Demel had 14 rebounds, including six offensive rebounds. Topeka’s Ashleyrhuajh Rayton scored 17 with four steals, Hailey Caryl had 15 points, five steals, five rebounds, and Keimara Marashall had 11 points, 11 rebounds, four steals.
SM South 52, BV North 27 — SM South’s Amiyah Carter had 16 points, and Ella Jack and Laila Johnson-Berndt each had eight rebounds, Micah Kirkwood seven. Kirkwood and Johnson-Berndt each had four assists, too. BV North’s Harper Winter scored 10 and had four steals, and Macy Schroering and Tatum Schroering each had 10 rebounds.
Class 5A boys
Kapaun 53, Shawnee Heights 38 — Kapaun outscored Shawnee Heights 32-16 in the lane, and outrebounded the Thunderbirds 33-20. Rocco Keller and Blaise Dalian each scored 16, shooting a combined 14 of 23 from the field. Keller had 11 rebounds, five assists, Braylon Jones had 10 points, seven rebounds. Shawnee Heights’ Jaimarion Cook scored 11 and Camron Ross 10. Ja’Veon Alston had for steals, Aiden Scott five rebounds.
Bonner Springs 68, KC Washington 49 — Bonner Springs’ top scorers were Jaiden Jones (22 points, 11 of 14 from the field, six rebounds), Nathanael Ferrell (18 points, four assists, 3 of 4 from three), Kelan Gruver (12 points, 8 of 8 from the line, 11 rebounds). Jason Jones had four assists. KC Washington’s Jamari Williams had 14 points and Jayden Boggess six rebounds.
Topeka Seaman 57, Maize South 46 — From the 1:24 mark of the second quarter to the 7:39 mark of the fourth, Topeka Seaman, in what had been a back-and-forth game, went on a 25-12 run. It included a 13-3 run for a 41-30 lead. Seaman was led by Kaevon Bonner, who had 24 points, five rebounds, four assists and five steals. Landon Wiltz had 13 points, hitting 3 of 4 from three, and Griffin Zuniga scored 10. Maize South’s Jalen Batiste made four threes and had 19 points, and Cy Stucky had 10 points. Batiste and Paxton Scott each had four assists.

Class 4A girls
Bishop Miege 61, Eudora 48 — Mary Grant scored 26 points to lead Miege and Jayla McClinton had 17. Grant had six rebounds, McClinton 13, and Scarlett Singleton had 12 points. Eudora’s Avah Dye scored 18 with five rebounds, and Bryann Deterding had 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists.
Wellington 51, Concordia 43 — After trailing 26-13 at the half, Wellington outscored Concordia 12-2 in the third and 38-17 in the second half overall. Wellington’s Lyndi Barton had 14 points, five rebounds and Dru Zeka 20 points, five rebounds. Barton, Cruz Cornejo and Kirstyn Gregory each had four steals, and Zeka and Vivienne Wright had three apiece. Jaylin Roush led Concordia with 16 points, eight rebounds, and Charlize Cash had nine points, nine rebounds and seven assists..
Topeka Hayden 54, Andale 37 — Hayden had three in double figures — Hailey Schmidtlein (14 points, five rebounds, four steals), Blakely Walter (11 points), Sophia Wichman (11 points, five rebounds). Andale’s Abbigail Winter scored 12 with five rebounds, Brooke Grimes 11 points, and Mayla Spexarth had 17 rebounds, Eden Stoltz eight.
Rock Creek 62, Chapman 53 — Rock Creek was led by Kylee Frazee, who had 24 points, and Aurora Pitzer, who scored 18 with 12 rebounds. Chapman had four in double figures — Callie Cook 14 points, Avery Baer 13, Josie Baer and Jai Rogers 10 apiece. Rogers also had seven rebounds and Baer had five assists.
Class 3A boys
Burlington 59, Heritage Christian Academy 44 — Burlington’s Troy Over was 5 of 7 from three and had 17 points, four assists. Maddux Cheever scored 13 points with 10 rebounds, four assists, and Shawn Mautz had 11 points. Heritage Christian was led by Landon Pittman’s 11 points and Declan Schoff’s seven rebounds.
Silver Lake 47, Holcomb 37 — Silver Lake’s Dayne Johnson scored 16 with eight rebounds. Grady Bergmann had 10 points, and Hunter Rooks and Joel Miller each had five rebounds. Holcomb’s Ayden Brown had 15 points, eight rebounds, and Luke Thyne had six rebounds.
Hesston 60, Scott City 25 — Hesston’s Drew Bartell was 8 of 10 from the field and had 18 points, Tyler Unruh 13 points after shooting 6 of 9, and Kason Landes had nine rebounds.
Wichita Collegiate 106, Wellsville 60 — Collegiate’s AJ Batiste scored 42 points, hitting 17 of 24 shots and had seven rebounds. Sebastian Hines-Turner had 18 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and six steals, and Shaad Issa and Maddox Drumright each had 11 points in the win. Wellsville was led by Pete Dorsey, who scored 12 and had six assists. Jayden Bruce and Hudson Stanton each scored 10, and Isaiah Jones had six assists.
Class 2A girls
Eureka 51, Oakley 45 — Eureka wins its first state tournament game in school history. Brenna Rucker led Eureka with 21 points, 13 rebounds, four assists. Ellianna Coulter had 11 points. Oakley’s Alexa Weiser scored 12 and had five rebounds, Chesney Marshall had 11 points, Breckyn Selensky six assists and Brynn Johnson six rebounds..
Ellinwood 55, Rossville 48 — Ellinwood was 4 of 4 from the free-throw line in the final 20 seconds. Ellinwood’s Brynn Widener shot 3 of 6 from three and had 21 points, nine rebounds, three steals. Mette Maxwell scored 10 with six rebounds, Julia Schlessiger had eight rebounds and Regan Widener six. Rylee Dick scored 31 for Rossville, hitting five threes, and Nora Burdiek had 11 rebounds.
Salina Sacred Heart 52, Pittsburg Colgan 42 — Sacred Heart played five players all 32 minutes. Emerson Lee scored 15 points, Edyn Sharpton 12 and Adelyn Lee had 11. Skyler Douglas finished with seven rebounds, six assists, Nicole Richards nine rebounds, and Sharpton had six rebounds. Pittsburg Colgan’s Jakayla Davis had a game-high 22 points, shooting 9 of 9 from the line, Janessa Davis had 15 points and was 3 of 4 from three, and Dani Yaghmour had six rebounds.
Moundridge 63, Valley Heights 48 — Moundridge’s Cammi Unruh made 9 of 14 from the field and scored a game-high 23 points with five rebounds. Macy Kaminkow had eight rebounds, Halle Hecox five rebounds, four steals.Valley Heights’ Ava Smith scored 21 and had seven rebounds. Lindsay Gray had five rebounds.
Class 1A-I boys
Norwich 49, Rural Vista 35 — Norwich’s Lucas Adams scored a game-high 19 points, hitting 9 of 13 from the field and finishing with 19 points. Jayden Benge had 18 points, six rebounds, six steals and Lane Hilger had seven rebounds. Rural Vista’s Tucker Mein had nine rebounds, Celian Van Bemten six and Tyler Brockmeier five.
Beloit St. John’s-Tipton 62, Flinthills 41 — Beloit St. John’s-Tipton was led by Edward Horinek (22 points, five assists, four steals), Gabriel Roderick (16 points, five rebounds and Kaden Rabe (11 points, five rebounds, four assists). Dominic Eilert had eight rebounds. Flinthills’ Jacob Huner had 23 points, Charles Farris seven rebounds and four assists. Taylor Carroll had seven rebounds.
Central Plains 57, Canton-Galva 34 — Central Plains shot 20 of 38 from the field and was led by Brodie Crites, who scored 19, making 7 of 11 field goals and also had eight rebounds, six assists and four steals. Camden Stiles scored 13, Ryan Siemson had 12 points, Peyton Dody six rebounds. Ethan Brozek led Canton-Galva with 14 points, hitting four threes. Ethan Harrington had nine rebounds, Jaxon Nightingale eight and Bransyn Speer six.

Class 1A-II boys
Axtell 68, Hutchinson Central Christian 44 — Axtell’s Wyatt Detweiler made 5 of 10 from three and had a game-high 22 points. Colin Shaughnessy had eight assists, 10 rebounds, four steals and Logan Sandmann scored 15 with eight rebounds. Hutchinson Central Christian was led by Cal Barnett (13 points, six rebounds), Luke Eigsti (11 points, five steals) and Pierce Huff had 10 points.
Lebo 46, Victoria 40 — Eight players scored for Lebo, and William Konrade and Gerek Reber each had 10 points. Brock Hadley had 11 rebounds, Colby Fehr had five rebounds, five assists. Victoria’s Nick Sander scored 15 and had seven rebounds, and Weston Scherrer scored 12. Both Cody Schmidtberger and Aiden Dinkel had six rebounds.
Cunningham 58, Weskan 29
Hanover 100, Deerfield 52 — All 12 of Hanover’s players scored and four were in double figures — Braden Jueneman (16 points, 4 of 7 from three), Cooper Bruna (15 points), Braylon Meyn (13 points, six rebounds), Kadrick Cohorst (13 points, seven rebounds). Jack Bruna, Brody Sedlacek and Landen Stallbaumer each had six rebounds. Deerfield’s Colton Musil scored 23, hitting five threes, and Christian Botello scored 10.
