Wichita Southeast’s Maddox Siharath – Poll Winner – Presented by Visit Wichita

Last season, Wichita Southeast bowler Maddox Siharath finished seventh at the 6A Tournament and he is hungry to get back there again.

“What excites me most this season is the chance to get back to the biggest stage: state,” Siharath said. “That’s the goal everything I’ve trained for points toward. Every hour, every rep, every frame has been building toward the opportunity to step out under those lights and show what I can truly do. Competing at State last year showed me what it really takes to perform at that level, and it lit a fire in me.”

From the moment his season ended last March, Siharath has been putting in the work so that he can improve on that seventh place finish.

“This past summer, I committed myself fully to improvement,” Siharath said. “I was at the lanes nearly every day, putting in consistent work. I also attended the WSU Bowling Camp, which gave me valuable insights and technical knowledge that helped push my game forward.”

Siharath focused on both his technique and the mental side to his game.

“This year, I’ve also focused heavily on strengthening both my mental game and my technique,” Siharath said. “At the level I want to compete, a strong mental game is essential. I’ve trained myself to stay locked in on nothing but the next frame, to breathe, reset, and stay present. Technically, I’ve been working toward greater consistency—recording my practices, studying my form, and making adjustments to refine every movement.”
