Hutchinson’s Terrell King said the Salthawks’ season felt like a roller coaster, but that’s also what made it so memorable.

“Our season was like I roller coaster we had a lot of ups and downs but we never broke,” King said. “Which was the best part we all just kept fighting until the end which makes this season one to never forget.”

There was a specific game that stood out to King and it was because of the revenge factor.

“The win against Maize South was one of the best (games) because it was a battle and they ended our season last year so it felt good getting it back,” King said.

The Salthawks had a unique bond, so whenever they all got to hang out, it was special for King.

“One memory that stood out to me was the team bonding we always had at team dinner,” King said.

King was one of the most talented two-way players in the state in 2024. He recorded 55 tackles with four interceptions on defense, while he racked up 450 yards and five touchdowns on offense.

While his season ended too soon, King wouldn’t have changed anything about his senior campaign.

“I didn’t not achieve everything I wanted but I did get to play with my brothers and that’s all I can really ask for,” King said.
