Rhytrale Wilson, a senior at Wichita West High School, is a true definition of a versatile athlete. With the ability to play basketball and football at a top level as well as compete in track and field, Wilson does it all. It’s not just talent for Wilson, it’s the heart, hustle, and leadership that make him stand out.
Wilson is competing in the final season of high school track with goals set high. Currently competing in long jump, 200 meters, 4×1, and 4×4, Wilson has his eyes set on returning to the state track meet.
After graduation, Wilson will be heading into his next chapter at Langston University. Wilson has big individual goals of dominating on the field, earning another shot at playing at a Power Five school like OU or anywhere in the Big 12, and locking in academically by majoring in business. “I plan to live in the study room, watch a lot of film, and keep grinding,” he told Vype Magazine. His team-first mindset is just as strong because Wilson is focused on surrounding himself with teammates who want to win on and off the field and grow together.
Looking ahead, Wilson is excited to play under the lights in packed stadiums, take on rivalry games, and earn his spot as a starter. Whether it’s football, basketball, or track & field, Wilson’s work ethic remains unmatched. His plans for the future are clear: one, to ball out, two, to build strong relationships, three, to take care of his body, and four, to keep chasing greatness.
Keep an eye out because Rhytrale Wilson is just getting started.
